Olive Oil

You can have a good olive oil but you don’t know how? It’s a bit difficult to produce a good olive oil but if you follow the steps it will be easy.

First, between September and December, the olives are harvested by hand or with sticks and rakes. Then they are collected on nets beneath the trees. After that, leaves and small stones are removed and the olives are run through a washer to remove any impurities before crushing. Then, within 24-36 hours of picking, the olives are crushed by granite millstones. The olive paste obtained is layered on mats which are put under pressure from a screw or hydraulic press. The liquid produced is collected and put through a centrifugal separator to separate the water and impurities from the oil. Finally, after centrifugation, the oil is obtained.

The olive oil has many benefits for the people and these steps guide you to have a good quality of the olive oil.

The UAE and Brunei

There are many places in the world that have beautiful views and bad views and every place has some things that make it different from the other places. In this essay I am going to write about the similarities and the differences between the UAE and Brunei.

There are some similarities between the UAE and Brunei. The first similarity is that the UAE and Brunei are both Islamic countries. Another similarity is that both the UAE and Brunei are rich countries because they have natural resources like the oil and gas. Yet another similarity is that each of the countries is developing rapidly and has its own airport.

Although there are many similarities there are also several important differences. The first difference is that the UAE is in the Middle East but Brunei is in the Far East. Another difference is that the UAE has summer and winter while in Brunei the climate is mostly the same all the year. Yet another difference is the currency, dirhams in the UAE and ringgits in Brunei. Finally, the driving side in the UAE is the left side but it is the right side in Brunei.

All in all, Brunei is a very beautiful place to live but I prefer to live in the UAE because I like the hot weather and every detail in it.

UAE and Brazil football

All over the world every country has its own football teams but each team is different from the other in some points and in my essay I am going to write about the similarities and the differences between the UAE team and the Brazil team.

There are some similarities between the UAE team and the Brazil team. Like Brazil, the UAE is a member of FIFA which is an international body for regulating football. This means that both teams have eleven players, and substitutes are allowed. Both teams play to a system that has been agreed with the coaches beforehand. Brazil and the UAE defend when necessary but prefer to attack.

Although there are some similarities, there are also many important differences. However, there are many differences in the style of play. Brazil plays at a higher level than the UAE and has won the World Cup. The former are fitter and faster than the latter and can adopt their style of play easily. This is because the Brazilian players have experience with teams all over the world while the UAE players usually play for local teams.

As we can see from the above the differences is outweigh the similarities. In my opinion I like to watch the UAE team and I like the local players because I know them well but I don’t know the Brazil team.

Reflection 4

Our teacher told us how to write the compare and contrast between two things to know what is the best between the two.

The first paragraph is about the two things and what is the relationship between them (general idea). This all has to be in 50 words.

The second paragraph talks about the similarities between the two things (at least 3 similarities) and it will be better if you add some examples and you can put it in 50 words.

The third paragraph talks about the differences (at least 3 differences) between the two things and it will show the details that you want to know it and you can put it in 50 words.

In the conclusion you have to show what is more, the similarities or the differences and talk about your opinion and what you prefer and this can be in 50 words.

Reflection 3

I have learned the process and we concentrate on changing the verbs to the passive voice like the bus was driver.

The process writing is easy but you have to do some important steps:

The first paragraph has a general idea and it include 25words.

In the main paragraph (the body) you have to use the passive voice in the process verbs and it will have 100 words.

The conclusion it has a short repeated Idea and how the process will be; this will include 25 words.

I like this kind of writing because it’s easy and interesting.

Process: orange juice

Everyone has to have vitamin C in his body and we can get it from the orange juice. Here is how the juice is produced.

First, the fruit is unloaded from the lorries. Then the oranges are graded, washed and sized. After that, they are sent to the juice extractor. After they have extracted the juice, the waste is used as animal feed. Next the juice is taken to the evaporator to clean it. Then the concentrate is produced. The concentrate is stored in refrigerated storage. After that the juice is canned by a canning machine and shipped to the other countries. Then, in the country where it will be sold, they add water to the concentrate. Finally, the juice is bottled and sold in the markets.

As you can see, producing orange juice is so difficult and long but the quality of it is the reason that makes it easy.

Reflection2

Writing a narrative is easy but it has some difficulties because you have to write and use your imagination.
You have to write three paragraphs. The first paragraph has the introduction of the story and the complete is in the body but the conclusion has your recommendations of that story and what did you feel. That must be more than 200 words.
If we don’t try to write and imagine, many actions will be boring.

Reflection1

In writing procedure I see that it is so easy and you can get full marks on it because there are some easy steps to follow.
The first paragraph must have about 25 words and it includes the title with the general idea.
The second paragraph must have about 100 words and it includes the steps step by step (it is all ready to use).
The last paragraph must have about 25 words with your own thoughts and how it will be.
I see it is so easy because our teacher gave us a lot of practice and that gave us good experience.

My last birthday

Last month there was my birthday but I forgot it because I had an exam in the college. I was studying with my classmates in the library. I was tired and it was in the evening. Suddenly my brother called me and told me that our house was burning and he couldn’t go home because he was in Dubai. I took my car in a rush and went back home and while I was driving I was calling to all my family but no one answered. I was afraid of that. After 20 minutes I arrived at my home but I didn’t see any fire, only smoke. Then I thought that the fire had been put out. I opened the door and I saw only a piece of cloth was burning and there was nobody in the house. Suddenly I heard a voice calling me. I ran to the voice then he shut up. I checked all the doors, even my father's room. When I went to check it I felt that there was a strange thing. I opened the door then I found a lot of hands above my head. They were my family and they said to me ‘’ happy birthday to you, today is your birthday ‘’ I was surprised and very happy.

How to organise a portfolio

Papers, papers, papers. Students often feel overwhelmed by the number of papers they receive from their teachers, and it may seem like throwing all of them in the trunk of the car is the best solution. However, it is actually quite easy to organize your class notes in a neat portfolio. Let me outline the steps.

First, find all your papers. Second, sort your papers into logical divisions such as reading, writing, speaking and listening, among others. Next, put your papers into the different sections. After that, buy a binder and some colored dividers. Write section headings for the dividers and match them with a table of contents page. Finally, make a label for the side of the blinder and include important information such as the class code and your name.

As we have seen, it is easy to make a portfolio. You will be proud of your neat, well-organized work!

SEA TRIP

Last weekend in the afternoon I was driving to my home when my cousin called me and told me about a sea trip in his boat. I accepted the invitation and changed my direction to Between two Bridges city because his boat is there. We moved from the marina at 2:30pm with our friends. We were singing and looking at the wide sea and the islands that were more beautiful than what I had seen in my life. Then we arrived at the Corniche where all the boats and jet skis meet and play. We played with the other boats by throwing water but suddenly, our boat stopped in the middle of the sea and that was the chance for the other boats to throw the water on us. We called the coastguard to help us and the problem was we didn’t have enough petrol. The coastguards were late and it took them one hour to reach our place as they didn’t know our place .While they were coming I was afraid but my cousin and his friends were happy and swimming. When they arrived one of them told us to prepare ourselves to take us to the coast. The first thing that I did when I arrived was I said to my cousin, ‘’if you tell me next time about any trips I will kill you’’ and I went home at 9:00pm to sleep and forget this day.
