Budget of the U.K in 1996

The pie chart shows how much money the U.K. government spent on various categories in 1996.

In this chart we can see the division of the money from the government of the U.K. The biggest part of the total budget was for social security with £100 billion. Health and personal social services came after the social security and they spent on it £53 billion. Next they spent the budget on many things like they spent £38 billion on education and £25 billion on the debt interest, then £23 billion on the other expenditure. After that they spent £22 billion on the defence and this is the last big number because there are four categories which took less than £20 billion. They were law and order, £17 billion, industry, agriculture and employment, £13 billion and the last two categories were the transport, housing, heritage and environment with £9 billion and £15 billion respectively.

As we can see from this chart there are some details that attract your attention: the social security has the biggest part of the budget and this is giving benefits to the people.
